Hector Ramos Jr
Born on July 30, 1970, in Kingsville, TX, Hector Ramos spent most of his life in South Texas. After graduating with honors from Harlingen High School in 1988, Ramos joined the US Army and served his country as a flight medic and emergency room corpsman at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA. He completed one tour in Saudi Arabia with the 47th Combat Support Hospital during Desert Storm. Ramos lent his skills to the Ft. Sam Houston Medical Training Center as an instructor. After his honorable discharge from the United States Army in June 1992, Ramos continued his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Brownsville (UTB), where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Ramos carries over 30 years of experience and has worked as an educator, healthcare practitioner, administrator, human resource trainer, and quality assurance manager and is also an OSHA-certified trainer and Certified Safety Specialist (CSP). Ramos currently resides in South Padre Island, TX, where he helps care for all residents at Population Health SPI. He is a father of two, Steffan Xavier (31) and Kristin Nicole (28).
